TRUMPLER and LANGRO successfully achieve ZDHC Level 3 certification

Since its foundation more than 150 years ago, TRUMPLER is firmly committed to creating a sustainable future for our customers, for our suppliers, employees and our environment. It is our obligation to guarantee the responsible manufacture of chemical products for the leather industry. Our commitment includes the careful assessment of raw materials and straightforward control of product quality and management processes. More than anything, a clear communication is key. Safety relevant information need to be made publicly available just as recommendations on the most economic and compliant use of chemical products need to be communicated, too. The mutual goal of our industry is to sustain and ensure compliant leather manufacture, globally.

In August 2018 the TRUMPLER group became a member of the ZDHC organization to further expand our efforts towards a transparent and sustainable leather industry. In May 2020, we directly achieved ZDHC Level 1 certification for our global range of sales products covering regional markets worldwide. Not stopping at that point, we decided to strive for ZDHC Level 3 certification in order to have our product stewardship policies reviewed and evaluated by an independent third party. TRUMPLER and LANGRO are very proud that all their main production sites have been audited by BLC – Leather Technology Centre – CHEM MAP and instantly have been awarded the highest ZDHC certification in May 2022 covering more than 400 products.

"This achievement is an important contribution. Also, it is only one of many significant actions we as TRUMPLER and we as an industry need to conduct to henceforth retain the sustainability of leather." - Hein Vugs, CEO Trumpler Group
